The Burnley Green candidate, Jack Launer, gained 1518 votes for the Burnley constituency, doubling the Party’s vote share fron 2019.
Jack, the current Leader of the Greens on Burnley Council, and Executive Member for Housing, Health and Culture, ran a low-key but positive campaign, based on the Jo Cox Civility Pledge.
Burnley Green Party would like to thank everyone that voted for Jack, and for all the help and support from our members and volunteers, and we look forward to the challenges ahead, and increased, and fair, funding for Burnley Council and it’s residents from the new government.
We would also like to congratulate the FOUR new Green MP’s – Sian Berry, Carla Denyer, Adrian Ramsay and Ellie Chowns with their historic wins.
